I've got some heated seats for my cmax, I'm hard wiring in the power etc as it's not pre wired which isn't a problem

Does anyone have wiring diagrams? I've got 2 switches from a focus mk2 with 4 wires from each, illumination earth and 2 others which I ran down to the connector on the seat.

Didn't work

There seems to be a connector on the seat plug with a single wire.. does this need connecting to a live or earth or?

Cheers

check for a resistance rather than open circuit across the seat elements

Where did you mount your switches? I put in a full leather set up a while ago, the floor loom is there, but no switches, so the least I'll need is wiring from fuse box to switches?

when I looked at the fuse box on the TIS disc the connection (in fuse box) for the heated seats is not there unless you have the seats so it would be case of adapting fuse end of the loom

If no resistance then unlikely to get hot. It's the resistance that causes the heating

Ok checked again the seat warms up but the voltage at the seat elements where bottom plugs to back drops to 0 after 2 minutes and only goes back to 12v if I turn it on and back off at switch?

check continuity of circuit across the control ~partial break in the "resistance track" in the variable control

So check wires to and from the switch? Seems to have 12v constant at the seat plug with switch on any number except 0
